Remote ID

The FAA is requiring all UAS to have a remote ID module installed by March 16, 2024.  More information can be on the FAA Website.

Remote ID Broadcast Module

BST recommended the Dronetag Mini for use with the S2 UAS (website).  This can be obtained from their web store and set up using an application that can be installed directly to the SwifTab tablet supplied with your S2.  Recommended placement is as shown in the following figures.

Standard Remote ID

Standard remote ID requires integration with the UAS ecosystem, specifically to interact with the autopilot and ground station to report required information and enable functionality such as limiting flights to be only conducted when the proper information has been saved to the remote ID module.

BST is working on a solution for this that will be included in all E2, S0, and S2 aircraft provided after Mar 16, 2024.  The solution provided will ideally be a simple add-on module for previously sold aircraft and made available for sale should a customer need the extended capabilities that comes with standard remote ID.
